Dear Singers,
NEWS FLASH CONCERNING THE UPCOMING THURSDAY EVENING CONCERT.
Breaking News:
Just a few minutes ago, I received a call from the Head of Music at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, where the Thursday evening Masterworks concert was to be performed this
week.
They have just experienced an emergency HVAC shutdown of all units for their Sanctuary, and are having to replace all units. They are canceling all events from now through the weekend. They will be moving all their services to the Parish Hall. Therefore, the Thursday night concert is canceled.
However, and this is important: they still want this event to go on at a reasonable later date for
their congregation, who were very much looking forward to the concert.
I have let them know to get back to us as early as they can next week to see if they can reschedule, and if we can have enough personnel still around to make this move happen.
I do not have any projected date and will not until early next week. More than likely, we would be looking at a Sunday evening later in May.
If we are
able to reschedule, I do not plan to add any other rehearsals before doing the concert. We would still do as we had planned, and just have a warm-up call time on the same night as the performance.
I am very sorry for this unfortunate situation. I feel very bad for all of our friends and colleagues at St. Catherine's!
I need to stress to you all, how very proud I am of your outstanding performance on Sunday evening. From the moment that you
took the platform, you showed so much energy and excitement in your faces... I had a feeling we were all in the moment and something very special was about to happen!! I am so thrilled for you that you all sang so very well on every selection!!
For now, I must let you know I will be in constant contact with you as the leadership at St. Catherine's continues to be in contact with me.

nothing happening on this Thursday night.
