Masterworks Singers Newsletter Spring 2025 No. 25
Dear People,
First, I do hope that all who read this edition are safe. I know that so many have been affected by the recent floods, that it is impossible not to know someone who has been touched. May God continue to keep all of us safe and allow us to be the neighbors to those who need us the
most.
There are two important topics in this Newsletter edition. Each will now get a Bold Headline.
The Latest Tour Information for June 2026.
Thanks so much to all of you who responded to the last Questionnaire. The number of positive responses and subsequent emails by those who did not get a chance to answer the questionnaire has resulted in us knowing that we can
commit to a choral tour that will have a balanced choir.
Two weeks ago, I signed the letter of intent with Perform International accepting the invitation to perform in Paris during June 2026.
The next step will be taken by the main office of Perform International. They are producing a custom brochure for our group, and soon you will see that brochure coming through this Newsletter. That will be the time when all singing members, plus their
guests and/or family members, will send in a form that declares names and arrangements for the tour. Each traveler will respond describing the type of rooms desired and other important travel information needed. Once signed up officially as a touring member, you will begin to receive your payment information as monthly statements.
I have told Perform International to design our tour as individuals paying the company. Masterworks Singers (the Organization)
will not be handling any of the fees... all payments will be sent to Performa International directly.
So... for now... there is nothing for you to do except...1) Make sure you have an up-to-date Passport, and 2) make sure any family members or friends who will be touring have communicated that they intend to tour. We want to begin our internal processes of gathering personal contact information and emergency contacts, etc.
This is an exciting
time. I do ask you once again, to not send any questions to Elaine Hagenberg directly through her web page. From here on, we are communicating directly with representatives of Perform International.
Finally, I want to clarify that Masterworks Singers, will perform Illuminare and other works of Elaine's with the full Festival Chorus. Masterworks Singers and the other few consortium groups will be the ONLY choirs that will perform
the NEW Major Work from Elaine. What an honor!!
An Important Announcement About Claims Checks
By now, a good number of claimants have received the reimbursement checks from the Bankruptcy settlement. We are so glad to see that all MWS claims are being paid back at 100%.
To those of you who have not yet received your check, I need to explain that the Trustee is sending the checks
out in batches. If you are still waiting for your check, please give at least until the end of this week to continue looking in the US Mail. If you have not received your check by the end of the week, please let me know by email. I will then put you in touch with Mark Stern, who will help you to reach out to the court to determine if your address is correct.
Thanks to Mark and his father for all their work in keeping up with the progress of the court case
through this entire long process.
Thank the Good Lord for finally getting closure on this issue, and blessing us with the amazing opportunity to tour once again.
